Review: I had a great experience with the RDU layover hotel! It was well maintained, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was good. Because of the location, there wasn’t much to do there, so me and my crewmates hit the pool, and even though it was pouring rain outside, the pool was a comfortable temperature. There were a lot of mosquitoes flying around, and one of my crew members got eaten up by them, but that was because the indoor pool opened up to the outside, so they must have gotten in through there. Other than that, there isn’t much else to say about the Fairfield, it was a great stay, and even though there was nothing much to do nearby, we still had a good time.
I am happy to report that this hotel was amazing, and it made my stay above and beyond what I would have expected. The staff was very kind and understanding (thanks for the Vacuum Michael!), Free continental breakfast, indoor pool, and well stocked work out room made it a great choice in layover hotels! My only complaint is that it looks like my Airline will stop using the Fairfield after this month, and switching to the Hyatt down the street. Hopefully they stack up well against the Fairfield!
